This is a large Great White Shark tooth. The tooth is from the Modern Great White Shark, Carcharodon carcharias. This is the infamous shark that terrorizes swimmers every year, and is immortalized in the movie, ''Jaws''. This tooth is a lower, having the classic thin, pointed shape. The serrations and tip are razor-sharp and wonderfully preserved. The root is complete and still has some jaw cartilage on one side of the root! This is a fabulous, impressive example of a large Modern Great White Shark tooth.
