This is a very large specimen of a Carcharocles megalodon tooth from Bone Valley, Florida. The tooth is over four and a half inches long and over four inches wide - would be much longer if the tip were pointed. This tooth has beautiful butterscotch/blond enamel and very substantial root. The tooth has a worn tip and serrations, but the tooth is still wonderfully preserved. Large, colorful Meg teeth from Bone Valley were very hard to find when collecting was good - ones this size and color are almost never seen anymore.
