Here is a fabulous fossil shark tooth from South Carolina. This is a large Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits. This tooth is quite distinct and has the classic arrowhead shape intact. The root is very solid and substantial, and the large serrations are sharp and beautifully displayed. The glossy enamel is well preserved, and the greyish-brown tint is quite striking. The other side of the tooth also displays beautifully. This is an excellent example of a large tooth (well over five inches long) from this extinct giant white shark.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
