This is a very unusual fossil. It is a fossilized shark egg capsule from the Pennsylvanian of Missouri. The fossil is preserved in a siderite concretion, which displays the detail of the egg very well. The egg capsule is quite distinct and has good color and contrast. This is a nice specimen of a very interesting fossil. No true shark collection is complete without a fossil shark egg capsule.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
