Here is a very fine fossil shark tooth from South Carolina. This is a large Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Miocene River Deposits. This tooth is quite wide and has the classic arrowhead shape. The root is very solid and substantial, and the sharp serrations are intact and beautifully displayed. The glossy enamel is well preserved, and the brownish-green tint is quite striking. The other side of the tooth is also wonderfully preserved, as seen in the photo. This is a fabulous example of a large tooth from this extinct giant white shark. (Note: white spots in the photos are reflections, not on the tooth.)
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
